Mike and Doris are themselves a testimony to recovery, reconciliation, and restoration. Mike was a highly visible, successful pastor for twenty-five years but struggled with a secret addiction. That addiction finally led to the collapse of his ministry, the destruction of his family, and the loss of career, home, future, everything. Mike went to a clinic in Arizona where God started a miracle. Mike and Doris tell their story of failure and forgiveness in churches and retreat all across the country. They have appeared often on television programs like Life Today, Pure Passion, The Jim Bakker Show, and Bridges.
In addition to speaking and directing Branches Recovery Center, Mike and Doris host Simply Free, a national conference for healing and hope annually, and about three DOJOROMI Marriage retreats each year. Mike has written Failure And How I Achieved It and is a Life Coach (New Life Coaching.) He and Doris enjoy their adult children and their grandson, living lives of serenity and surrender in Middle Tennessee.
